Limited Funding for Selected Presenters
Limited travel grants are available provided by the SDGnexus Network to support presenters with citizenships of DAC listed countries. To be considered, applicants must indicate their need for support and provide a brief justification during the abstract submission process.
Abstracts are selected based solely on scientific quality. While funding support may be limited, presenters whose abstracts are accepted but cannot be funded are warmly invited to participate at their own expense.
Covered Expenses
The SDGnexus Network solely covers the following travel-related expenses for presenters awarded funding, subject to demonstrated need and available resources:
- International travel (round-trip ticket) from the nearest international airport in the country of departure to Frankfurt (FRA)
- Airport transfer to/from the hotel in Frankfurt
- Reduction of the conference fee
- Four nights of accommodation (check-in 05th of October, check-out 09th of October) in a hotel selected by the conference organizing team, including breakfast.
Please note that WSCC2026 will NOT cover any expenses not explicitly listed above.
Spouses and partners are not eligible for travel funding support. They may participate as regular attendees by paying the standard conference fee, subject to availability. Participants must independently arrange all travel and accommodation for companions at their own expense. When hotel accommodation is included in the travel grant, only single-room costs are covered; double and family rooms are neither provided nor guaranteed.
Upon notification of your travel grant decision, you must register for the conference within the given timeframe and before travel arrangements begin. Furthermore, a valid visa must be obtained, if required, by the specified deadline. Travel arrangements cannot commence until visa confirmation is received.
The conference organizing team cannot accommodate individual flight route requests and will provide a maximum of two options. If neither option is suitable, you may be removed from the travel grant program.
Conference registration fees are non-refundable once paid. Should you fail to obtain a valid visa or decline the offered travel options, your presentation slot will be cancelled. You may still attend as a regular participant without presenting, but no refund will be issued if you decide not to participate.
Please note that the conference organizing team does not have the capacity to provide updates on individual travel fund decisions or to expedite the review process. You will be notified once a decision has been made. Status inquiries cannot be accommodated.
