Title Innovative tools for climate resilience – translating knowledge into action for evidence-based decision making and adapting to warming under 1.5 and 2 degrees Celcius
Objective(s) 1. To discuss the pathways to implement a system that lead to the promotion of climate change adaptation activities and the regional, subregional and country level,

2. To build capacity of policymakers to use the digital platforms to ensure climate change impact assessment and adaptation project formulation in multiple sectors,

3. To promote the acceleration of implementation  of disaster and climate related SDGs, particularly SDG 13 through various regional and sub-regional cooperation mechanism

Abstract The Asia Pacific region has the highest mortality and people affected by floods in the world.  Under the new climate scenarios based on the 6th IPCC Assessment Report, the region will be the most impacted by heavy precipitation requiring long term resilience to the impacts of water-related disasters.  This in turn necessitates a transformational adaptation that will help reverse the current negative trend on the achievement of SDG targets, particular those of SDG 13 on Climate Action.
