Short Bio

Dr. Guillermo Mendoza, trained as a civil engineer, is the Institute for Water Resources‘ International Programs Manager. He is the lead author of the UNESCO publication, “Climate Risk Informed Decision Analysis (CRIDA)”, which is a technical guidance for bottom-up decision scaling in the planning of Water Resources.  CRIDA complements the World Bank Decision Tree Framework for the application of procedures in a USACE step-wise planning process. He collaborates with U.S. Agency for International Development, the U.S. Department of State, and the Millenium Challenge Corporation, the Asian Institue for Technology, and the city of Udon Thani. His work includes training and implementation of CRIDA in support of planning for urban resilience, and river basin planning. Dr Mendoza is an active member of the Alliance for Global Water Adaptation (AGWA) network.
