Rolando Célleri is professor of Hydrology at the Department of Water Resources and Environmental Sciences at University of Cuenca, Ecuador. He holds a PhD degree in Engineering (Hydrology) from KU Leuven. His research in the Tropical Andes focuses on (i) understanding hydrological and hydrometeorological processes as well as the impacts of global change, by combining modern field techniques and different modelling approaches, and (ii) the adaptation of natural-human systems to the impacts of land use and climate change, as a way to reduce the vulnerability of Andean communities. He is the local coordinator of the CNRD project, the SDGnexus Network project and the Transect of the Americas project.
