09.10.2025 13:30 – 15:00
Conference Hall #1

Moderation: Mukand Babel, Victor Schinde, Kai Münnich, Andreas Haarstrick

This Success & Challenges sessions focuses on identifying and discussing factors and processes that made implementation of research or development projects a success, but also those that impeded or even prevented implementation or completion of projects. Both scientists and other stakeholders will be invited to report on specific accomplishments as well as on failures of projects to encourage fresh perspectives and exchange real life experiences.

The session is intended to provide an opportunity for in-depth professional dialogue based on reports of successful projects, but also of projects that have failed for specific and easily understandable reasons. The reports should highlight the sustainable impact that the implemented project has had in the region or is expected to have in the long term, as well as any obstacles that may arise and the strategies developed to overcome them.

To structure the session, it is planned to focus on two topics which are floods and climate risks, and drought and adaptation.
