Dr. Marianela Fader is the deputy director of the International Centre for Water Resources and Global Change in Koblenz. Her research deals with irrigation water requirements under climate change, global modelling of SDG indicators, climate change impacts in the Mediterranean area, and the water-food-energy nexus.

Keynote on "Research at ICWRGC and the Sustainable Development Goals Assessment Core Group at the Sustainable Water Future Programme"
The International Centre for Water Resources and Global Change (ICWRGC) is hosted by the Federal Institute of Hydrology in Koblenz. The presentation will give an overview about the research topics of the ICWRGC: water diplomacy, water quality, climate change impacts and sustainability science. The centre co-leads the Core Group “Sustainable Development Goals Assessment” at the Sustainable Water Future Programme. The presentation will provide an overview of the activities of this group that includes 35 scientists from 15 countries and aims at assessing the capabilities of global models to contribute to the SDG agenda and analyzing the opportunities given by the Agenda 2030.
