Udo Nehren

Udo Nehren is researcher and lecturer for Ecosystem and Soil Management at the TH Köln – University of Applied Sciences, Germany. He holds a diploma in Physical Geography from the University of Trier, a Master of Engineering in Technology in the Tropics from the TH Köln, and a PhD in Geography from the University of Leipzig. His habilitation at the University of Passau dealt with the topic “Sustainable management of tropical and subtropical landscapes based on the concept of ecosystem services”. His research focuses on ecosystem-based disaster risk reduction and adaptation, ecological restoration and social-ecological systems. He published several books and articles on these topics.
