Suzanne Jacobs conducts the majority of her research in the tropical Mau Forest Complex in the highlands of Kenya. Her work focuses on the investigation of hydrological and biogeochemical processes in catchments under contrasting land use, using high-resolution data from in situ water quality sensors and stable isotopes of water. The data is used to identify potential land use influences on water-related ecosystem services and generate relevant knowledge to inform decision-makers on sustainable land and water management.
