Grit Bürgow

Grit Bürgow is landscape architect and founder of aquatectura – studios for regenerative landscapes. She initiated ROOF WATER-FARM – an ongoing collaborative design-research project and real lab on building-integrated water and food systems at TU Berlin, Germany. Her most recent creative and research interests is on the design, construction and operation of mobile blue-green infrastructures – from home hydroponics and balcony variants to communal vertical farm systems. For the Berlin Gleisdreieckpark site of the BEACH 61 volleyball facility, she just is preparing a hydroponic vertical farm installation, which will be operated with locally recycled shower water and used for participatory culinary purposes.
